I understand that there was a technical issue with your current member-indexing assignment that has now been resolved, so you can expect to see that book approved very soon.
For everybody who is curious, debkellie is correct that we are very busy with member indexing. To give you an idea of the scale of the program, I reviewed and approved 366 member indexed books and magazines in 2017. That works out to one per day.
As the information about member indexing says, EYB is fanatical about quality of data and we need to ensure consistency in indexing. How quickly I can review each book depends on several factors: the number of recipes, the complexity and language of recipe titles, how many new ingredients I have to research and create, the age and type of cookbook, and, most of all, the experience level of the member indexer and how carefully the indexer has followed the EYB indexing instructions.
Fortunately, several of the most active indexers are also very familiar with the instructions for EYB indexing, so the average time between submission by a member indexer and the indexing being approved and available to all EYB users is currently closer to 4 weeks than 8.
