This morning I tried to check whether the latest Delicious Australia had been added. When I put Delicious Australia in search engine get 0 result. Type in delicious only and get list of UK and Australia. But type in the word Australia - nothing.
Donna hay and Australian Gourmet and Traveller still have not reappeared.

For Delicious Australia just type Delicious Aus.  Works for me.

Jane explained in an earlier post under topic "Australian magazines fall off the radar" that EYB are having to recruit and train new indexers for some Australian magazines as a couple of indexers recently dropped out.

Delicious (Aus) however is always indexed within a few days of publication. That said, it appears that  Delicious have issued a "Summer special" in addition to the normal Dec/Jan issue. The Feb issue should arrive any day now, but this "Summer special" is extra and not included in a subscription and not indexed because the indexer didn't get it.

Cati -if you ever want to find books or magazines from a particular country you can use the Filter by Country link in the right navigation.  If you select Australia there you will only see Australian magazines.

Thanks for all your replies, but the fact remains if you type Delicious A, or Delicious Au, or Delicious Aus, no worries the search engine works like a charm, but if you dare to add a "t" or spell the word in full the search engine says 0 result. Very pernickety.

The search terms box is a word search - so whatever you enter is what is searched for in the title, author, and for recipes in the ingredients.  It's not that it is "pernickety" but that is the way that searches work.  So if you search for Rachel Ray you will get zero results as her name is spelled Rachael Ray.  As soon as you add the "t" to Aus there is no longer a match with Delicious (Aus).

For ingredients we have entered variables into the database so if you type a word one way it will also find the other e.g. typing lasagne or lasagna will show the same results.  But we don't have variable names options for magazines so it does have to be a precise match.

The filters on the right are a precise match to the database entry so no typing is required. There is also a list of all magazines we index under Popular searches.  Click on Delicious (Aus) there and you get the complete list of issues.

Thought I'd better update my earlier message on this thread. The Delicious Aus Summer special issue will soon be indexed. I hope all fellow Southern Hemispherians have somewhere cool to hang out.
