I have searched, without any luck, for a recipe for brownies, cake, pie, breads, etc. to make with left over holiday truffles. Chop them up and add to batters like chips or nuts. Anyone have such a recipe.
Hi Sisterspat -- I haven't personally tried any of these recipes, but I did a search of the EYB online recipe library for "chocolate truffle candies" and found we have 8: http://bit.ly/13b5KKF
I particularly like the look of the Raspberry Truffle Brownies from blog, Raspberri Cupcakes!
You could also do this same search on your own bookshelf to see if there are any other recipes in your cookbooks. Hope this helps!
Thank you so much, the brownies look wonderful and I will try them. Exactly what I was looking for. I will post the results. Again, thank you, greatly appreciated.
Happy to help -- I hope they are as tasty as they look!
Who on earth has "leftover" chocolate truffles?? Never in my house - you obviously have a lot more willpower than I do! I did once make an ice-cream studded with truffles that was amazing. The recipe was from a book that is not yet indexed - Bake It to the Limit by Dede Wilson. However I did find it on her website - Mint Truffle Ice-Cream Terrine. The book has some wonderful dessert recipes and it looks like you can pick it up quite cheaply through Amazon.
Sounds great, I have a wonderful ice cream machine, will give it a go. Thank you for the info.
