Hi Jane - is it possible to search on the month/year cooked?
I always enter this info, but also use a tag for each year and another for each month. Now we an search on multiple tags, I can check what I cooked, say, in this month last year.
No you can't currently sort or filter by date cooked. If members want to do that then they should do as you suggest, adding bookmarks for month and year.
Can you please email the screenshot to me at info@eatyourbooks.com? I just tested adding a new note with the date and it appears on the note. You need to look at your own notes (click My Notes under the My Bookshelf tab) not the note on the recipe details page.
Maybe I'm not understanding the question, but if I go to a recipe that I've bookmarked with "I've cooked this" and then click on the "Add a Bookmark" icon I can see the date that I cooked the recipe.
Perhaps the issue is that the date entered with "I've cooked this" is not searchable. I've always entered that date as I have my fingers crossed that one day it will become searchable and more pominantly displayed.
That would alleviate the need for tags/bookmarks. Currently I have 25 Year tags (from 2000 - 2024 plus one for prior to 2000) and 12 month bookmarks.
This is what I needed. Thank you so much. I was looking under the recipe itself for the note or date.
And you have a search engine for ALL your recipes!
