Hi, I'm looking for a good Korean cookbook. I love Korean food and would really like to be able to make it at home. It's pretty difficult to find Korean cookbooks in the UK so I can order from Amazon, no problem but I like to flick through a book first to see if it 'gels' with me.

As this is unlikely unless I can get myself over to Books for Cooks sometime, I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions for good Korean cookbooks to look out for?

Thanks,

Helen

I highly recommend A Korean Mother's Cooking Notes.  It is my "go to" cookbook for Korean food (I have a few others) and it has never let me down.

These two are decent Korean cookbooks:

Eating Korean:  From Berbecue to Kimchi, Recipes from My Home by Cecilia Hae-Jin Lee

Dok Suni by Jenny Kwak and Liz Fried

I recently purchased KIMCHI, lovely book with a strong focus on fermentation

The New York Times calls Maangchi the Korean Julia Child. She has a YouTube channel and a new cookbook. Check her out!
