I would also like to see Sunset magazine indexed

I would love to see the Better Homes & Gardens Special Interest "Christmas Cookie" magazines indexed. I have most of the issues since 1995 and it would be so much easier to search them all! Please and thank you :)

kshabel, we'd love to be able to index those BH&G single-issue magazines, but it's highly unlikely that any of our pro indexers would be able to locate them in their library systems. If you or another member would like to volunteer to index one of the "Christmas Cookies" issues you have in your collection, please send the details to me -- deborah@eatyourbooks.com -- and I'll be happy to create a listing in the EYB Library/Magazines, then you can place a Request to Index (myself) for that issue.

Can we add issues of Lodge Best One-Pan Recipes?  I'd be happy to index it myself, I have paper copies of the magazine.

rlgreen91 - that's wonderful that you would like to index it. Please email deborah@eatyourbooks with the information on which issues you would like to start with.

I've recently subscribed to Clean Eating, a Canadian magazine. I love it and would love to see it included in the EYB library.

MLopusCook - are there two Clean Eating magazines? The one I can find looking online is from Active Interest Media, a US company. If you have the contact info for a Canadian magazine, please do email them to us.

Can you add Magnolia Journal

I would love to see older issues of Cuisine at Home indexed. I have issues from 2010 to 2015.

What makes magazines faster to index? So far I've only member-indexed books because I've been intimidated by the magazines. I guess it seems like magazines usually have a lot of recipes in them generally, but maybe I'm mistaken, and each issue of the average cooking magazine doesn't have as many recipes as some encyclopedic cookbook. Is that what you meant when you said they go faster, or am I missing something else?

There are two reasons why magazines are quicker to index than cookbooks. Firstly they have a lot fewer recipes - the average of all the magazines we have indexed is 51 per issue whereas the average for all the cookbooks we have indexed is 168.

The other reason is that magazine recipes tend to be less complex - fewer recipes within recipes and accompaniments and they also tend to have fewer unusual ingredients.

Not sure if this was requested yet, but I'd love to see Southern Living magazines indexed. Even though it isn't solely a cooking magazine, they have many fantastic recipes in every issue.

Agree with Marci about Southern Living, and would like to add Midwest Living to the mix for the same reasons. Thanks for considering!

For all us plant-centered eaters, how about adding Forks over Knives magazine?  I use it a lot!

GenieB - we are currently trying to get this set up with the magazine (we need them to supply back issues for indexing). You could possibly help speed up their permission if you (and any other fans of the magazone) write to their customer service explaining why an index on EYB would be so helpful. Their email is customerservice@forksoverknives.com

Hello,

I LOVE your site! I am wondering if someone could index the 2019 Annual Cook's Illustrated Special Collector's Edition Magazine.

Thank you for considering!

Hello... Can you add Country Living Magazine Cooking Through the Seasons - published by Hearst in the UK in 2012? Thanks!

The Ontario Liquor stores release an increadible magazine called Food & Drink.  I would love to have it indexed.  All the recipes are also online and there is a free e-version of the magazine as well.

A little off topic, I know, but I remembered this post of yours where you mentioned the average number of recipes in a cookbook. I just wanted to ask, then ... of all the indexed cookbooks on EYB, which one has the MOST recipes? I guess it might be a multi-volume set, if you have any of those indexed.

I see some of the Donna Hay "special made simple" magazines are indexed, but not all of them. I'm looking for Issues #27, 33, 35, and 40.

thank you!
