      I'm happy I made this chilled green pea soup recipe for company. The potato and leeks gave the soup some extra depth, but the mint pistou with the garlic and parmesan elevated the soup from competent to extraordinary.

      Delicious but too sweet which could have been because i used my home made cocktail sour cherries - maybe use much less cherry shrub.

  • Slow-roasted Mexican lamb shanks

      Quite flavoursome .. despite not marinating overnight. I subbed a small tin of diced tomatoes for fresh tomato. My shanks were perhaps a bit fatty .. would have benefitted from overnight chill to take out the lamb fat & serve on day 2.

  • Sticky glazed slow-roast pork

      I made this for Christmas lunch and got thumbs up from the family. It was easy to cook, the meat was tender and flavourful. The reduced pan juices made a great "gravy". Only downside was that I didn't get a sticky glaze as the photo suggests. I'd still make it again
