  • Wheat berries with charred onions and kale

    • okcook on October 05, 2015

This makes a lot. I made a half recipe. Easy and visually pleasing. We like a little spice so I added some chopped jalapeño from our garden.

Farro could be substituted for wheat berries

  • French yogurt cake

    • twoyolks on November 09, 2015

This has a balanced lemon flavor while not being too sweet. It's also quite easy to make.

  • Cucumber and avocado salad

    • GiselleMarie on July 01, 2020

This is very good but I prefer the classic Asian Smashed Cucumber Salad. This was a good use of ingredients I had in the fridge (celery, avocados, ginger, cilantro), so I was glad to find this recipe. It was a good accompaniment to the simple chicken stir-fry we had for dinner. The recipe calls for smashing the garlic, ginger, chilis, and cilantro in a plastic bag to make a paste. I mistakenly smashed a hole in the bag, so next time, I’ll make the paste in my food processor.
