Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Oven-roasted barbecued salmon

    • jumali on May 05, 2013

Great flavor and easy to prepare. This recipe will satisfy a variety of palates.

  • Snickerdoodle blondies

    • jumali on May 01, 2013

These were quite good, but as you can see from the photo, they don't really look anything like a snickerdoodle. The taste is dead on though. I used cinnamon chips from KingArthurflour.com. I baked them for the minimum 45 minutes, and they could have come out a couple of minutes earlier. I'll definitely make these again.

  • Make-ahead overnight breakfast casserole

    • southerncooker on December 25, 2019

This is second time making. First time Christmas 2015 used French bread and regular kelibasa sausage and made a whole recipe. This Christmas 2019 I used focaccia and Turkey kelibasa and made half recipe. Both time delicious.

  • Chocolate-peanut butter swirl cookies

    • cjannace on December 13, 2017

These were super easy to make and quite delicious too. It is a multi-step process that can take up to a whole day, but it is not difficult. The recipe says to take the dough out of the fridge after an hour, but I found that the second dough which was in about 10 minutes longer was really in the sweet spot. The recipe really does make about 5 dozen cookies, so this is great for a large party or dividing into multiple gifts.

  • Chocolate-stuffed gingerbread cookies

    • cjannace on December 21, 2014

I was very unsure of this recipe because I typically don't associate gingerbread cookies with chocolate, but I figured I would test it out for the holidays. I was blown away and I will definitely be making these again. They were chewy, delicious, and perfect for the holidays! We rolled the tops of the cookies with colored sugars & sprinkles before baking and I would recommend the sprinkles because the colored sugars look very dull after baking. I can't wait to share these with the family for the holidays!

  • Upside-down brown butter-banana coffee cake

    • cpasek on May 18, 2015

Very tasty and moist. Used Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Next time I will add walnuts and perhaps a bit of lime zest for some zing.

  • Chocolate chip cookie dough lover brownies

    • swegener on July 28, 2015

Reduced these by a 1/3 in the same size pan for a more reasonable sized treat!
