Publishers Text

The inspiration for this book was a little girl called Daisy who loved her food and was a wonderful little cook. She died suddenly at the age of 18 months and this book, written by her mother, is a tribute to an incredible daughter. All recipes have been donated by parents and the book is full of practical and easy to prepare recipes that children will love. They've all been tested by a willing team of mothers and, the most critical audience of all, their children. The author has attracted celebrity support from chefs, food writers and famous parents. Delia Smith, Nigella Lawson, Anthony Worrell Thompson, Nigel Slater, Brian Turner, Gary Lineker and Emma Forbes are among the household names that have donated recipes. The book also has the endorsement of the Paediatric Dieticians of St. Mary's Hospital. Every recipe has been scored for its nutritional value and helpful hints are given on how to feed difficult children. Forewords have been written by leading paediatric experts and this will be the children's cookbook recommended by the paediatric team at the hospital.
