      way too sweet, even when packed with apricots. pastry stays crisp though. marzipan bubbled up and overflowed a bit, despite the grating and even distribution.

      Next time I’d mix the chopped apple through the muffin mix rather than press in the top. When adding the crumble top - really press in as comes off the top easily after baking.

      I saw Paul making these on a Great British Bake Off masterclass and have made them several times. The dough is very loose but easy to handle if you follow the method of proofing the dough in a rectangular container, turn it out onto a floured surface and separate each breadstick in a free form way depending where the olives are. Great to serve with cocktails or for a picnic spread.
