Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Nut brittle

    • trudys_person on March 28, 2013

Used this recipe many times to make old-fashioned peanut brittle - works great every time!

  • Apple-cinnamon muffins

    • MsMonsoon on October 16, 2021

Fine muffin, not too fancy, so they are nice for having with maple butter, pumpkin butter, etc. I added almost 50% more chopped apple and the resulting volume made 12 muffins. There is 1 Tbsp of baking powder which seemed like a lot.

  • Molasses cookies

    • Tee.Tee on August 06, 2017

My favorite molasses cookie recipe. Crispy, and buttery with some chew. The unexpected addition of black pepper gives them a spicy kick. It fun to ask people to guess the secret ingredient.

  • Spiced sablés

    • sdeathe on July 08, 2021

These are delicate, spiced perfectly, and a little bit buttery in flavour. Wonderful.
