    I use olive oil instead of vegetable oil and the flavor is wonderful! I have made this in 2 loaf pans and as a round loaf on a baking sheet. The dough is very soft,so it spread on the baking sheet resulting in more of a flat loaf. So today I formed a round loaf and baked it in a straight sided souffle dish. Turned out great. Just be sure to slash the top before putting in the oven.

    Nice topping for crostini. Add the hot pepper oil cautiously as it packs a lot of heat! This also works well as a sandwich filling.

    Made this again, steaming the eggs 14 minutes, instead of boiling. Perfect hard cooked eggs that peeled easily. Added chopped celery and green onions to the rest of the ingredients.

    Parsley is not listed in the ingredients list in spite of the recipe name. I added 1/4 cup loosely packed chopped parsley and it worked fine. Quick and easy side dish.

    Used 4 tablespoons Cider vinegar and used extra virgin olive oil instead of vegetable oil. The chevre cheese in the dressing is terrific.

    This is terrific! Pay attention to the direction to not overcook this. You want some crunch in the peppers and cabbage.

    Nice tangy umami dressing that doesn't overwhelm the avocados.

• Bean, bacon, potato, and red pepper soup

    We love this soup. I cook 2/3 of a cup of dried beans instead of using canned. Also used a whole carrot and a whole bell pepper. Sauteed the pepper with the onion, carrot and celery rather than adding at the end. Add a splash of white wine or sherry.
