Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Pineapple upside-down cake

    • sharifah on November 23, 2015

Very nice cake! Moist, not too sweet. OH said this is the best cake you've ever made! I used a clipform tin, which worked ok (no spillage) rather than a loose based tin. Recipe did say NOT to use a loose based tin.

  • Soured cream coffee cake

    • TLouise on January 28, 2021

Very good and easy to make cake. Turned out of bundt tin perfectly. Perfect for coffee morning.

  • Fruity lunchbox cake

    • sharifah on April 06, 2014

I found the mix quite strange as there was no eggs and no butter. To make it worse, I used skimmed milk instead of semi-skimmed milk. It was a very stiff mix. But it turned out allright. Very moist, and tasted like breakfast in a cake! Definitely a healthy option.

  • Chocolate & maple brunch cake

    • sharifah on April 06, 2014

Very nice, light cake. Very chocolatey. You definitely need the icing to cover the cracks on the cake. I substituted sheeps yogurt for my lactose-intolerant OH, works a treat.

  • Pina colada cake

    • TLouise on January 28, 2021

Tasted good but didn't rise as well as expected.
