Notes about this book

I have a cuisinart (toaster oven style) and I find it handy for small bakes, reheating, cooking snacks and the odd recipe. You can use air fryer function or as a toaster oven. I would buy it again but the key is to soak trays after use and give inside a quick wipe down. I was once given a drawer style air fryer and disliked it

Are air fryers really worth it ... ?

Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Cheese arancini

    • debkellie on October 19, 2022

I used my own leftover risotto (mushroom). Double crumbed. Rested for 3 hours in fridge, before 10 minutes in the air fryer. Air fryer did a surprisingly good job. Made their bechamel to act as a dipping sauce for an evening pre-dinner snack. I would have said canape, but golf ball sizes are way too big to be considered a canape!.

  • Chicken Kiev

    • debkellie on October 13, 2022

Finally succumbed & bought an air fryer. This was first cab off the rank... pretty damn tasty .. excellent result- crumb crispy; filling did leak a bit to the fryer, but used as a sauce...

  • Crunchy barbecue-style chicken thighs

    • mharriman on July 05, 2024

I made this recipe for six people, doubling the amounts of the ingredients and baking in batches. We thought the resulting flavor was okay, and the thighs had good, crunchy coats. Unfortunately, the barbeque flavor didn't stand out at all. The time and temperature given were way off. It took 25 -30 minutes at 360 degrees to cook three smallish to medium thighs to an internal temperature of 165 degrees. That brought the total cooking time to 55 minutes. The medium thighs were still very pink on the inside, even though they, too, registered 165 degrees with an internal thermometer. This is a non repeater. I can do better with my regular oven in less time.

  • Perfect strip steaks

    • mharriman on August 02, 2023

The cooking time given for medium-done steaks was perfect. We liked the flavor and texture of the steaks but didn't think they were the best steaks I’d ever cooked or grilled, and I've tried quite a few recipes. The accompanying steak sauce recipe on the same page tastes more like barbeque sauce than a steak sauce, which downgraded our opinion of the finished product. The upside is using an air fryer frees you up to complete other parts of the meal while the steaks are cooking.

  • Homemade steak sauce

    • mharriman on August 03, 2023

Ingredients are mostly the same as barbeque sauce, and the outcome tastes like barbeque sauce - not what I want with my steak. But the sauce is easy to prepare and cook, and does work with any meat needing BBQ sauce.

  • Easy raspberry tarts

    • BrendaD1962 on August 09, 2023

Quick, easy and tasty. What’s not to like.

  • Philly cheesesteak sandwiches

    • BrendaD1962 on August 09, 2023

We weren’t a fan of these sandwiches at all. The only recipe from this cookbook, so far, that we didn’t like.

  • Reuben sandwiches

    • BrendaD1962 on August 09, 2023

Oh so good! We make these all the time, except I use Thousand Island dressing instead of Russian as Russian is impossible to find here. The bread is crunchy and the filling is hot and melty. Delicious!

  • Jalapeño poppers

    • BrendaD1962 on August 09, 2023

Delicious! I have a few jalapeño popper recipes and they’re all just a bit different and all very good. I’ve made this particular recipe quite a few times now.

  • Crab rangoon

    • BrendaD1962 on August 26, 2022

Oh my gosh…..delicious!! We made them exactly as stated. Served with Thai Sweet Chili Sauce. Can’t wait to make again.

  • Shrimp egg rolls

    • BrendaD1962 on October 03, 2023

Delicious!! I followed the recipe except used broccoli slaw instead of coleslaw as that’s all my store had. I also got 8 egg rolls instead of 6. These were really good and nice and crispy. Very tasty, will definitely make again. Served with sweet Thai chili sauce and plum sauce.

  • Potato samosas

    • BrendaD1962 on August 09, 2023

We thought these samosas were easy and delicious. Not as good as some of the more labour-intensive ones I’ve made, but tasty nonetheless. Our guests enjoyed them too.

  • Crunchy chicken wings

    • BrendaD1962 on August 09, 2023

Amazing! The spices are perfect and they come out deliciously crunchy. We make these all the time.
