      Am very surprised that this recipe has been transferred over from "Venice to Istanbul"..... here's what I said about it there... "Hugely disappointing this. As has already been said it really is very bland. Also had nearly 3.5 litres of liquid to reduce to "150-180ml" Did it in batches but still took 45 mins of hard boiling. Am not looking forward to next quarter's gas bill! Definitely WON'T be doing this again!"

      UK Food Network repeated all of Rick Stein's Food Hero's programmes yesterday. One that I saw was for this recipe. Had it for a late breakfast. Used Oyster & chestnut mushroom. Not the best bread but was absolutely delicious.
