      Another really tasty and unusual pizza from this cookbook, which we really enjoyed. We made in our home pizza oven, which I was able to use to separately roast the mushrooms first.

      We decided to try some unusual pizzas last night, instead of our usual rotation using the home pizza oven. This was a great choice! I modified the recipe a bit, but results were really tasty and different. My wife hates walnuts, so I just used toasted pine nuts instead. I also wasn't able to find Gorgonzola Dolce, so I used regular, and just had to add a bunch of cream to make it possible to "dollop."

      Wonderful celebration of the tomato in pizza form. Simple, interesting, and quite delicious.

      I’ve been wanting to make this one for quite a while. It just looked so unique and interesting. I modified a bit and made it in more of a Neapolitan form, rather than Al Taglio. I left the walnuts out, as my wife doesn’t like them. Otherwise, followed the recipe using my standard crust dough, in our wood-fired oven. Results were fantastic. One of our favorite pizzas ever.
