The Peanut brownies are the best and a staple in our house. We make double batches Roast the peanuts. Use 1/2 cup cocoa (Best cocoa you can find) instead of the measly 2 Teaspoons. (Take out small 1/2 cup flour to compensate. Use a mixture of caster sugar and raw sugar to get the crisp / chewy combination.

Excellent cake and so easy. Highly recommend.

  • Kumara soup

    • anniecc on April 15, 2024

Really good basic soup. I use vegetable stock, and sometimes garnish with some chopped peanuts and a squeeze of lime. Needs around 1.5tsp of salt if using homemade stock. I simmer for 10 mins at the start with the lid on, and then a further 15 minutes after the stock is added.

  • Old-fashioned vegetable soup

    • lorraine_ovhpjb on May 05, 2026

Delicious with my sourdough bread. Reminds me of the soup my mother used to make.

  • Fish pie supreme

    • svokes on April 26, 2018

Great basic recipe - I add prawns, raw fish along with smoked fish - nice!

  • Tostadas

    • KJNZ on April 20, 2025

      adapt - just use filling...
