  • White chocolate and amaretti cheesecake

    • redjanet on September 04, 2011

Warning: this is very, VERY rich, but also very tasty!

  • 'I can't believe you made that' cake

    • sharifah on August 23, 2012

Disappointed with this cake - it was a bit dry and not that chocolatey. I did follow the instructions exactly so not sure why it was dry.

  • Soda bread

    • sharifah on January 11, 2013

Quick, easy and delicious tasting bread. Made the buttermilk using milk and lemon juice as directed by Lorraine - works OK.

  • Focaccia bread

  • Big yummy double choc chip cookies

    • Merlynpastry on May 21, 2016

This is one of my favourite cookie recipes. You can substitute the cocoa with more flour if you want plain choc chip cookies

  • Cookies and cream fudge brownies

    • Sparkles75 on March 23, 2019

When I bought this book many years ago these brownies were an immediate hit and became my go to recipe. A few years ago I started making a Thermomix brownie recipe instead which is the perfect ratio of crispy, chewy and gooey and this one was forgotten. I recently made this version again for the first time in years and it has proven to be a massive hit with my 2 young children and my co workers. At first I thought it was nowhere near as good as the other brownie recipe I have been making but once the brownie is chilled in the fridge it makes all the difference and it is beautiful. Will be adding back into the rotation for sure.

There is not enough to warrant a place on the shelf. Flicking through I can find only 5 other things I would want to make and really they do not need recipes.

  • Camembert and roasted garlic

    • My Recipe Book Blog

Oh WOW!! This was gorgeous and so simple to do. At first I thought that two whole heads of garlic was slightly excessive, but no, it was just right... The sign of a good meal - no leftovers!!

  • Parmesan and poppy seed lollipops

My opinion on them.....tasty, crunchy and very easy, but to me they tasted greasy.

  • Fig, cream cheese and mint tart

    • My Recipe Book Blog

Totally yummy and very, very rich. I added a sprinkle of Feta Cheese to the top of the tart as we had a little piece that needed using up and it complimented it so well it will be added every time.
