    This was a total fail for me, and I'm not sure why. I thought my yeast was old, perhaps, because I just didn't get a good rise - but I also just made some regular white bread with the same batch of yeast that rose perfectly fine. Maybe there wasn't enough called for in this recipe? I basically ended up with an inedible brick.

    The V-8 juice gives this bread an unbelievable color. It would be a nice addition to a mixed bread basket.
