Hake parcels with vegetables (Croustillants de merlu et julienne de légumes) from New Bistro: Including Recipes from France's Best Bistros (page 75) by Fran Warde

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

Different and good. Unusually, I had filo pastry in the fridge, so when an EYB search for parsnips and leeks brought up this recipe, I decided I was meant to make it! Very pleased I did. No hake, so used Torbay Sole also known as Witch Sole which was in my Fishbox delivery. Not chunky at all but we thought it worked well in the parcels. The cumin wasn't really noticeable so next time I'll increase the amount. Would be good for entertaining as you could prep the parcels in advance and put in the oven just before serving.
