Can substitute rosemary sprigs for half of the sage sprigs. Soak dried chickpeas 4 hours to 2 days.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

This really is a great pot of chickpeas! Definitely soak overnight and they cook up in less than an hour and are so much tastier than canned. I drain and rinse after soaking to rinse off the soaking salt. And I don't add salt when cooking them until they are tender;then add salt to taste.
