Can substitute white coarse fresh bread crumbs or cracker crumbs for panko breadcrumbs.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

This was great! It made quite a bit and took about 10-15 minutes of active kitchen time. I followed the recipe as written but added some chicken bouillon with the water. I do think using the bean liquid from the cans of beans and additional water made it too watery. I tried to cook it down as much as i could but some of my panko topping got mushy. I would probably start out with just the bean liquid next time and add small amounts of water as needed. I think some kale or spinach would be a welcome addition next time as well. It was a hit for us and I will certainly make it again!
