    I used a different crust (Ina's perfect pie crust), but these blind baking instructions worked perfectly. My apples weighed over 300 g, but I had a deep pie plate so I used them all. 200 g pecans were closer to 2 cups; I went by weight and the pie was super nutty. I absolutely loved this mash-up of apple and pecan as it tempered the cloying sweetness of traditional pecan pie. My husband, however, missed that and wished the pie were more gooey like the classic.
