    My first time caramelizing white chocolate worked well, but only took 70 min (I also searched other sites for tips on how to do this). I halved the cherries for better distribution. I made 1/2 recipe in a 9" skillet and it was fairly thick, so for the full recipe you might want a 12" one. Checked after 40 min in the oven and it was a few minutes overdone. The flavor combination was good, but unfortunately it was too sweet for me. If I made this again, I'd reduce the sweetness by making one or more changes: (1) omit white sugar from batter; (2) use regular cherries instead of Amarena; (3) use dark chocolate instead of white. Also, we got 8 servings from 1/2 recipe.
