    I've made these often - very successfully. I tend to use it as a rough guide (1 can condensed milk, 250g oats and 425g of bits) rather than following religiously. Apricots, almonds and sour cherries is a good combination, because it adds a bit of tang to cut through the sweetness of the condensed milk.

    Made these, but forgot to put in the oats (I know, silly me). Still they were a hit! Not the healthiest of breakfast bar (due to the condensed milk), but "it went in like cookies" (as we say in The Netherlands). Will make it again, with the oats this time to give it a bit more body.
