    I drained the spinach after cooking to avoid a soggy bottom. I really liked this recipe. It was very easy to assemble. Love how crispy the filo pastry gets! The toasted pine nuts were a great addition.

    What a presentation! I had not worked with filo pastry before but it was just as forgiving as Jamie stated. I tried hard not to overthink it as I put the pie together and that worked. I did add extra grated cheddar cheese to the top of the filling prior to closing it all up in pastry. The technique of cooking some on the stovetop before popping the whole thing in the oven produced a nice browned crust - 20 minutes in the oven worked for me. Flavors were delicious - toasted pine nuts really added something. Made the accompanying salads recommended by Jamie, as well. Nice dinner - would serve to guests.

    I made this as I needed something quick to do with the filo pastry, spinach and feta I had to hand - was lacking some of the ingredients for more complicated equivalent recipes, so this one was perfect. It was a very satisfactory result, I wouldn't say it's as good a pie as some of the more complex versions as was lacking a certain something, but very acceptable for something quick and easy.

    Hands down our favourite recipe of all time and a Saturday night dinner over and over again. The salads work brilliantly with the pie. It doesn't come together in 30 minutes though! We add lots of extra caynne in the filo layers - yum!
