    I have been looking for a good recipe for ginger scones, and this recipe come very close to what I was looking for. I love ginger. I wanted a recipe where I could really taste the ginger. In this recipe fresh ginger is sauteed in butter before it is added to the rest of the ingredients. The dough is very moist and is put on the baking tray with a spoon. The scones are best baked a few hours in advance. We had most of the scones right out of the oven, and I found the taste of ginger to be too faint. Later in the day I had another scone, and the taste had improved a lot.
