    Very tasty, and perfect for eating with tea or coffee. The recipe makes a dense cake, more like pound cake than a modern sponge cake. I had a couple of weird holes in the body of the cake, but that was because I think I may have overmixed it. You definitely can taste the honey and the spices, neither overpowers the other.
