May substitute coarse sanding sugar for poppy seeds.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    A. These were messy because of the glaze, but delicious. Be generous with the glaze because that’s where all the lemon flavor comes from. Important: sprinkle poppy seeds on each cookie immediately after glazing the cookie because if you glaze all of them first, the glaze will be hardened and the poppy seeds won’t stick to it by the time you start sprinkling.
