    The flavor of this marinade is delicious. The amount of saffron called for (two teaspoons) is crazy! So I used maybe 1/4 tsp- the saffron flavor still came through in the marinade, but you could easily skip it altogether.

    I successfully marinated this for approximately 10 hours without any issues. The recipe does not call specifically for any remaining marinade to be removed so I did not do so.
