    This is very good but I prefer the classic Asian Smashed Cucumber Salad. This was a good use of ingredients I had in the fridge (celery, avocados, ginger, cilantro), so I was glad to find this recipe. It was a good accompaniment to the simple chicken stir-fry we had for dinner. The recipe calls for smashing the garlic, ginger, chilis, and cilantro in a plastic bag to make a paste. I mistakenly smashed a hole in the bag, so next time, I’ll make the paste in my food processor.
