Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    Made this with walnuts instead of hazelnuts and have discovered that they don’t really go together. The walnut layer tastes very nice on its own though. Quite a lot of sugar was added to the gooseberries, but they still tasted very sharp. The cake is basically a Bakewell tart. Might try it with plums and walnuts one day - not sure I’d try gooseberry again.
