    I made a half quantity, which gave two big or three small portions. Whizzed to a coarse consistency with a stick blender instead of pureeing half in a blender. This was a nice soup, a little different to the run of the mill, but maybe not outstanding enough to be one to repeat. There are other aubergine dishes I prefer.

    Nice soup. I preferred cooking for 10 minutes instead of twenty, and not adding the herbs until the end.
