  • absolutely delicious - love the crusting the marinade forms when barbecued and the chicken is really tender and flavourful. made enough for 4 and the two of us polished it off, it was so good!

  • So easy and delicious - a keeper! Cooked perfectly and ate with harissa yoghurt spicy slaw and rice. As it cooks it shrinks from the side of the dish but I think that is normal. Lovely and moist inside, crusty on top

  • i love this recipe. the sauce is absolutely delicious - it sounds very rich and is indulgent but works so well with the sprouts and fish. I had this at the restaurant and it remains a favourite. the sauce is also really good with slow cooked lamb and rice and almonds

  • really delicious sauce. as mentioned below - needs pasta water added and definitely needs to be cooked for this long to get the depth of flavour. i used cooking chorizo which worked well.

  • really tasty spanish style brunch dish - doing the eggs in the same dish as the potato makes a big difference; really delicious eggs. Does take time but worth it as slow cooking the onions and peppers gives a lovely taste. Will be on repeat.

  • Made this tonight to use up some veg and was so pleased I did. The prep is not too much of a pain, as others have said. I didn't make basil oil as didn't have basil til end of process so made a preserved lemon, roast garlic and yoghurt dressing, plus some shatta on top. I LOVED it. I did add some fresh basil leaves as my ocado delivery turned up at the end which i'm sure gave extra flagvour. i WILL be making this again. Yum.

  • oh my goodness. Made these last night wqith some left over haricot beans (jar); flavours are sensational. so much more than you think. About to eat the left overs with pulled pork and coleslaw.

  • I struggled with this a bit. Parly my fault - I slightly crowded the veg so some were less charred than I would like. Completely agree with all about the dressing - first, really difficult to get the miso to emulsify with the oil and having halved the amounts, it was still way too much and made the food feel oily. I used some water to help with emulsification but next time think i'd use a quarter of the oil and make up with water. I won't rush to make again, though agree it was filling. Prefer a similar dish with tahini/lemon/yoghurt dressing and nuts scattered

  • I like this - what's not to like with kale and broccoli. But I agree with others that it could do with a little 'jzuzsh'. i used sprouting broccoli, which worked well. I added toasted almonds, and lemon at the end. I toasted the broccoli with griddle before starting with the kale. Mybe a different dish but really tasty.

  • Delicious. For my taste the measurements given make it a little too salty so would reduce the soy sauce as well as the hoisin a little. Otherwise lovely supper dish!

  • Incredibly succulent, tasty chicken legs - the marinade sounds odd with cheddar cheese and cream but gives a lovely almost buttermilk flavour - husband loved it but thought was Deep South cooking or Korean not Indian. definitely a keeper

  • absolutely love this recipe. Surprising combinatino of celeriac, meatballs and lemon works so well and the slow cooking creates a beautiful sauce. Have to be careful when frying the meatballs so they don't disintegrate but such a lovely dish. On our regular list.

  • i have a jar on the go at all times. have changed things a little over time - now leave the salted chopped chillies out at room temperature for 1 - 2 weeks before draining and adding the acid. It really adds to the complexity and takes out any sharp notes. totally addicted to this stuff.

  • second time revised with birds eye chillis to broth, and more lemon and lime to broth - absolutely delicious +++

  • delicious dal/rice dish; timings are not well done

  • i've cooked this regularly and love the way the potatoes get soft and melty with chickeny juices. I agree you need the right pan and aim for one where the potatoes sit mainly under the chicken, so become fondant rather than roasted. The timings are to be taken with a pinch of salt and cannot let it dry out so often add more fluid.

  • one of my regular go to supper dishes - super quick, absolutely delicious; self making rich, tangy sauce with prawns. great with peas and rice

  • I disagree - I think this is delicious, lots of flavour, yet really simple

  • delicious - a classic stew with deep, savoury flavour. Cook for as long as possible, the longer the better and the next day is Amazing!

  • reliable supper dish - easy, fast and super tasty.

  • Delicious and easy. Really tender chicken, the mint chutney with it is terrific and gives some chilli warmth as well as cooling yoghurt. Agree to turn up oven high to get char and less time in oven
