A friend made this recipe for Christmas lunch a couple of years ago and it was really good. Although quite easy, it has three layers so not quick to prepare.

Fresh figs, pan-fried or any other way are very hard to beat with or without raspberries. However, olive oil ice cream has NOT caught on in this household. Sorry Maggie :) I wonder if macadamia oil would work and taste better? I might try that. The search for ice cream that's both healthy and yummy continues...

This quite easy breakfast (or dessert) cake uses seven bananas at once, so excellent for dealing with a glut.
-
A favourite stir-fry. I usually omit canned bamboo shoot.
-
Chicken was a bit dry until I tried just with chicken pieces on the bone. Now a favourite meal.
-
Easy, healthy, light, satisfying summer meal. I used smoked trout instead of hot-smoked salmon and lettuce instead of watercress.
-
Pretty easy and tasty and keeps well for a few days. Good way to feed lots at a picnic. The amount of pancetta/bacon makes it a bit too fatty and salty for us though.
-
Excellent way to use up bananas, even without the chia seeds. Love the inclusion of cardamom among the spices.
-
Good meal for hot summer evenings on its own, or with cooked prawns.
-
Our new favourite tart for stonefruit season. Relatively easy too.
-
Delicious, but breasts a bit tough at oven temp given. Next time will use thighs and/or lower temp.
-
My new favourite steamed fish recipe. Easy too!
-
Very succulent roast cooked this way but I don't think it needed as much wine.
-
Very moist and tasty, not too sweet, and nutritious with the fruit and nuts.
-
Very easy and relatively healthy dessert which my husband liked. I omitted the salt.
-
Quite a good way to use left over roast pork. I doubled the quantities of ginger and garlic for a tastier result.
-
Cabbage stir-fried as per this recipe was delicious and will be done again. For the chicken I used Keen's curry powder instead of facing the long list of ingredients for the Kerulan curry paste and it was still v. good.
-
Very nice even healthier with much less coconut milk than specified.
-
This was nice even without cranberries and we thought it was sweet enough not to need icing. Worked well with substitution of macadamia oil for half the butter to make it lower cholesterol.
-
Sorry, rated this in error, and am unable to remove rating. I'm sure it would get more than half a star!
-
Rich, delicious chocolate cake with easily spreadable icing which made a popular birthday cake. Mine sank in the middle, maybe because I used a tin of smaller diameter than specified.
-
Very nice with trevalla fillets. Light and easy.
-
Tasty, Healthy and heart-smart. I used canned instead of fresh tuna and cooked in one larger baking dish which made it quick and easy as well.

What a fabulous, easy winter pudding. However did I survive all those winters without it! I added frozen raspberries to the jam and it took a few minutes longer to cook.
