  • Not a pretty dish, but absolutely delicious.

  • Delicious and oh so easy. I may make a batch of the sauce/base ahead of time. It only takes five minutes to throw the seafood in the sauce and finish the dish. My family went crazy when I served it. A perfect recipe!

  • Everything that I've made from this cookbook turned out very well. The tastes are quite complex, considering the cooking ease. I like that Ellie Krieger includes side dishes that complement the main dish both in recipe timing and flavor.

  • Very simple, very fresh-tasting, but kinda boring. My family thought it was so-so, and told me not to rush to make it again.

  • Delicious! Not anywhere near as creamy as the full-fat versions, but I think I prefer this "lightened up" recipe. It took more pots and pans than I would have liked, but it was worth it. I think I'll cook the noodles before making the rest of the dish the next time I make it (or use leftover noodles). The green beans were super-easy and tasted great. Ellie Krieger never lets me down!

  • Absolutely delicious cabbage recipe. Next time I'll cut the oil in half...

  • This is a favorite of my husband. It's very fragrant and tasty, and full of fiber.

  • I make this often for my family. It's a little bland, so I spice it up by either substituting a spicier pepper for the pimiento or adding hot sauce.

  • This makes a huge pot of delicious vegetable stock!

  • I made this recipe with halibut, and my family loved it. It also was quick and easy.

  • I enjoyed this asparagus recipe. The sauce was light and flavorful.

  • My family thought this soup was good, but I have another recipe for tortilla soup that they prefer.

  • This was a good, but not exceptional, recipe that results in a fairly typical bran-like muffin. The recipe is not a show-stopper, but I'd make the muffins again for breakfast fare.

  • This recipe came together in just minutes, and was delicious! I served it to a small group of women, and they loved it. You need to remember to thaw the frozen berries--I just stuck them in the fridge the night before. Yum!

  • This is a great book for those undergoing chemo or radiation. A lot of recipe ingredients come straight from the pantry--what I would call 1950's style cooking. The book has a great tuna casserole, lots of smoothies, etc. The author recommends foods for various side effects, such as mouth sores or loss of appetite. It's good for times when you're just too wiped out to put together a meal. On days when you're feeling up to it, try some of the fabulous recipes from "The Cancer Fighting Kitchen," my absolute fave healthy cookbook.

  • I thought that this recipe was just so-so, but fine as a low-fat alternative to yummy, rich, creamed spinach. I must admit I've never found an exceptional recipe for a low-fat creamed spinach.

  • Out of all my healthy living cookbooks, this is my favorite. It contains delicious, healthy recipes that my entire family enjoys. As a cancer patient, I have found valuable health information in this book. For instance, there is an extensive list of ingredients and their effects on cancer. The only downside is that the recipes are not super super quick and easy, so it would be hard for patients to make for themselves if they're undergoing chemo. Otherwise, I rely on it almost daily.
