This was a nice healthy recipe for a weeknight. Our four- and six-year old boys loved it, as did my husband (who has been on a diet and said to me "this has got to have sugar in it" - nope, a lovely subtle sweetness from the dates). It may not be an outstanding, memorable, serve-to-company dish, but it's great for its purpose and we'll make it again. Next time, I would probably slice the garlic instead of leaving the cloves whole, and would tear larger basil leaves in half. Otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing.

This was a delicious cake, quick and easy to make, and perfect, PERFECT, for a cold winter day with a storm coming. I made strawberry jam last summer and used a heaping 1/3 cup, would probably add even more next time. My jam sunk down to the bottom of the cake, unlike the picture in the book, but we enjoyed every bite. The vanilla bean paste gave a lovely complementary note. Will be repeated for sure.

Wow, was this excellent. Perfectly spicy and crispy and my husband and I ate it all.

This is so simple but so good. I had grouper on hand and it roasted up beautifully moist under the mayo-mustard sauce. One of those elegant presentations that doesn't rat you out for not having any idea what you were going to serve for dinner half an hour earlier. My mustard-hating husband really enjoyed it and I didn't hide the mustard from him.

This was a great smoothie, not too sweet but very satisfying. Great consistency, pretty and pink. One of my favorites from this book.

This was so good, in spite of the limitations I put on it: I am still learning the IP and I could only find the kind of chorizo Clark says NOT to use (fresh). Flavor was deep and satisfying, lemon juice really brightened up the dish. Due to a diet, I did not serve it with rice or bread but it truly didn't need it.

These were really good! The recipe notes say they will be the least perfect chips you’ll ever make and it did feel that way when they came out of the oven. I don’t have a mandolin so cut them by hand and of course there was variation - some burned and some seemed undercooked, but holy moly with the lime juice and pimenton, they were delicious.
-
Absolutely agree with Genscooking. I didn’t have it in me to juice the carrots so I bought the juice, and I don’t think it added much to the dish. Could not find monkfish so did scallops. The bacon really does add to it.
-
Forgot the squeeze of lemon and I think it would be really good here...we still loved them. Easy, delicious dish.

I used almond milk and made as written otherwise. This one wasn’t my favorite - it was grainy to me and I expected a little bit more sweetness. My husband liked it.
-
This is such a great recipe. I made it as written and I don’t think I would change a thing next time. The acid and mustard and different textures are so good - will repeat this one for sure.
-
Such a festive cake - I might have over baked mine slightly as it was dry, but there were no complaints and it was eaten up quickly. Great use of eggnog. I also used rum instead of rum extract - worth it!
-
This was very good. Lovely and warming on a winter night. I might not add the two Tbsp of pasta water next time, as the sauce was runnier than expected. Good with rotisserie chicken and an excellent quick meal.
-
One of my husband’s all-time favorites. I’ve nearly doubled the amount of tuna and it tastes great.
-
Made exactly as written and it was delicious. A very good side in place of dressing for a turkey. I used day-old peasant bread and it worked really well. Love the idea of adding Turkey for a one-dish meal next time.

My four year old requested brownies, and these were very quick to bang together. I cooked them to 34 minutes and they should have stayed in the oven for probably five minutes more - the cream cheese didn’t swirl in to the brownies as easily as other recipes, and so seemed to bake on top of the brownie batter more quickly. Everyone loved them, though, and I’ll make them again.

I made this with the last of my LGD and can’t stop eating it with Club crackers. It’s really delicious.
-
These were really good. The tops of my biscuits slid off during baking, and maybe I would try baking them a little closer together next time. My husband doesn’t love the flavors of LGD, so I made a couple without it and they were very good also.

An excellent soup paired with homemade pretzels!
-
I've made this appetizer several times and it's more than the sum of its parts. Quick to assemble, and so good.
-
These were really delicious. Yes, a few steps to do but the payoff was there. Such a great idea of a recipe, and the execution absolutely works.
-
These were very good. I made them in Le Creuset cocottes and got eight, and that serving was probably too large but we all ate them anyway. I skipped the whipped cream on top and it would have been much prettier with it. Everyone enjoyed them.
-
These came together super fast and were delicious. Light flavor of cardamom, just enough to keep me nibbling.
-
These are very good. The white chocolate brownie base pairs well with and balanced the sesame caramel. My caramel was smoking and golden before the recommended 350 degrees, so I pulled it from the heat. After chilling and cutting the brownies, the caramel did run down the sides and puddle around them so probably wise to heed the author’s advice to cut them right before serving.

Thank you, Cris! I made this by weight, in a hurry, without confirming that the weight was correct...and everyone loved it but I felt like it fell flat. I’ll make it again, with the correct amount of pumpkin.
