  • This is a brilliant sweet pastry. I used orange zest when I made the Sweet Potato Pie (pg 119) and it was absolutely delicious and has a great texture too. Nice and easy to work with which is a bonus...especially when you aren't great with pastry like me. I rolled the pastry out between plastic wrap for easy moving around :) I think it could be great with any zest, just match it to the pie.

  • This is SOOOSOSOSOSOSOSO delicious. I fried the eggplant, even though Jamie said not to. It was so smooth & creamy & full of flavour. I drained the eggplant on kitchen paper after I cooked it for about 1 hour until most of the oil had come out. I will certainly make this again when we have friends over for an Italian dinner party. Great as a main served with salad or side for a meat dish. AMAZING.

  • This risotto is a new favourite in our home. It's delicious. I fried the mushrooms in butter instead of oil before putting them in the oven to roast. The roasting adds a really meaty texture & richness to them. I also added the zest of 1 lemon to the rice. I love the tang from the lemon juice & added zest, it really gives a flavour lift. A brilliant meatless meal...one we will cook regularly. If you're a mushroom lover, give this recipe a go, you won't be disappointed :)

  • An excellent, flavoursome pizza sauce recipe that is quick & easy. I pretty much use this recipe every time I make pizza. Great flavour

  • This is a quick and delicious pasta, very similar to a traditional pesto, but a bit more "meaty" due to the almonds. I used almonds with skin on, and pretty much did the whole thing in the food processor, except for the cherry tomatoes. Very tasty.

  • Delicious, light and fluffy...excellent texture. I think next time I make them I would substitute the honey for brown sugar and mix the brown sugar into the butter & nut mixture. They are not overly sweet which is great. I ended up using golden caster sugar as I didn't have any demerara sugar. Very tasty breakfast/afternoon tea buns.

  • Totally delicious...could use any combo of your favourite cheeses. I was too lazy to fry the breadcrumbs off separately, I just threw them on top about 15 minutes into the cooking time and they went golden and crunchy on top. Great week night recipe for the family. Very tasty :)

  • A flavoursome soup. I soaked the bulgar wheat for an hour before using it. I only used 1 litre of stock & 300ml water to make up the right quantity. I love coriander(cilantro) so added that with the mint. The tortillas were delicious.

  • My favourite dressing with anything containing tomatoes. Delicious...can replace the balsamic with red wine vinegar too for a variation.

  • A great change from the regular mayo version of potato salad. I served mine to vegetarians so didn't add the bacon, instead I put in 3 chopped boiled eggs & handful of cherry tomatoes, chopped in half. Great summer dish

  • Nice flavour...I would like them with more chunky bits of pine nuts and almonds. There seemed to be too much butter in the recipe ??...maybe a bit less would give them a better texture. Not bad, but I've had MUCH better !!

  • Super easy recipe. I didn't have a block of pastry, so used 3 sheets of pastry instead and made 3 smaller ones. It still took 1 hour to cook. I sprinkled some sesame & poppy seeds on top as well...kind of like a giant sausage roll or pastie or even meatloaf. Great served with Jamie's chilli & capsicum chutney from Jamie @ Home. A goos weekly recipe.

  • I used minced beef instead of lamb as I'm not keen on lamb. The carrots took forever to get wafer thin without a mandolin...I used a "speed peeler", but it wasn't so speedy.

  • A tasty combination of flavours...not bad for a sweet change, although I prefer my pizzas savoury. I put loads more ricotta cheese on it too, as 1 tablespoons for the whole pizza was nowhere near enough

  • An excellent recipe, although they are more cupcakes than muffins. I peeled the skin from the butternut squash & grated it before putting it in the food processor. I added 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves as well. I would add the walnuts, chopped, after processing all other ingredients together. I used 330g brown sugar instead of the 350g. I used a citrus cream cheese frosting -30g softened butter, 70g softened cream cheese, zest of 1 lemon, 240g icing sugar, squeeze lemon juice - mix until smooth. Will definitely make these again. They'd be great for Thanksgiving treats.

  • A tasty recipe but needed some minor changes to make it easier to eat...I would suggest chopping the vegies into smaller manageable pieces - I halved the baby corn & snow peas and chopped the asparagus into 4 pieces per spear. Smaller pieces of chicken are also better for eating. I added 3 tablespoons of ketchup manis (sweet sticky thick Malay/indonesian soy) instead of regular soy. Not bad for a light, healthy dinner in summer.
