Born and raised in the US Pacific Northwest, I moved to Germany early in my career and discovered wonderful German, French, and Italian restaurants in and beyond Bavaria. Those dining experiences awakened my interest in great food and cooking. My husband’s career took us back to Europe and all over the US, so I’ve been blessed to sample a wide range of cuisines. I also love to travel and enjoy trying local specialties of the country we’re touring. Since retiring, I’ve been enjoying having much more time learning about cooking and trying new taste adventures. I benefited from a four season stint at a cookware shop and learned a lot about cooking equipment and techniques. EYB has also been a wonderful resource in this avocation: it’s a treasure box when searching my own book collection as well as online recipes. For me being in the kitchen brings happiness.
