I've been cooking for nearly 70 years, starting with Finnish/Amish/Depression era farm cooking. This evolved into a love of stalking the new ingredient especially ethnic or artisanal. My education added an interest in South Asian cooking, my location added Japanese and Scandinavian influences, my mother-in-law added French-Greek flavors. I love baking breads but in general cook few desserts. I am fascinated (or is it obsessed) with minimal waste cooking.
