Like most folks here, I love to cook and love cookbooks. I use them, often to find new recipes or to return to beloved ones, sometimes only for inspiration. Often I read them solely for my pleasure as I do novels.
I've always loved good food. Both my mother and grandmother were wonderful cooks. My grandmother never used a recipe; my mother usually did not. I watched them, but my cooking education has come mainly from cookbooks.
