Originally from Tokyo Japan, but now live in Silicon Valley. Started collecting recipes from families, friends, or anyone willing to share their recipes and techniques in my teen years. Although I cook Japanese foods more than any other styles, I normally do not make and rate English language Japanese recipes here as I find best recipes are found in Japanese sources and Japanese language cookbooks and many that I make are those I’ve been making for a long tine and do not use recipes. Never lived in Texas or Southern states, but we really enjoy the foods from that region as well as Mexican and Mexican inspired.
