Originally from Tokyo Japan, but now live in Silicon Valley. Started collecting recipes from families, friends, or anyone willing to share their recipes and techniques in my teen years. Although I cook Japanese foods more than any other styles, I normally do not make and rate English language Japanese recipes here as I find best recipes are found in Japanese sources and Japanese language cookbooks and many that I make are those I’ve been making for a long tine and do not use recipes. Although I have never lived in Texas or Southern states, my love of Tex-Mex and Southern cooking must come from being a half Texan.
