My cooking and health philosophy is to enjoy the very best food possible, in small amounts. I eat everything in moderation, following the “French diet” to stay slim. I use full-fat dairy and am not afraid of butter or cream. If something doesn’t taste good, I won’t make it again even if it is “healthy,” and there are no “bad” foods in my world.
My very favorite things to make are desserts and breads. However, I do balance all of this sugar and grain out with tons of homemade savory foods too. I cook just as much as I bake.
I am not a “natural” cook, and still follow recipes for 99% of what I do. Here, my cookbooks have been invaluable in my husband and I getting to eat the very yummy food that we do.
