Chicken in creamy tomato curry: chicken tikka masala from Food Network by Aarti Sequeira

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

This was really good! My first time making Tikka masala and I even used the make your own garam masala mix. I made double the amount and the leftovers were even better. You definitely do want to let the chicken/ yogurt mix sit in the fridge overnight.

I was very disappointed by this recipe. While I don't mind using this much equipment (mini-food processor, grill, and blender/food processor/immersion blender) when it pays off, I found the sauce oddly flavorless. Despite the ginger and spicy peppers, I could have mistaken it for Italian!

I saw this recipe on Aarti's show and had to try it. The "wow" factor in the recipe is her simple addition of (homemade) ginger-garlic paste to the yogurt marinade. The final result is full of flavor, not too spicy, and delicious with basmati rice and naan bread. Note: if you're making this for semi-picky eaters, make extra of the chicken and set aside after grilling. It is delicious by itself without the tomato curry sauce.
