Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Zucchini & mint pie

    • debkellie on April 17, 2019

      Quite delicious one pan meal!

  • Sesame ocean trout with mixed mushrooms

    • debkellie on October 29, 2015

This was very simple, quick and tasty. Recommend!

  • Baked chicken breast stuffed with parsley, lemon & pine nuts

    • debkellie on October 05, 2015

I used feta instead of ricotta (as I'm not keen on ricotta), and red onion instead of spring onion.. but, even so, this was delight..

  • Marinated chicken with steamed greens

    • debkellie on September 18, 2015

I marinated the chicken for around 10 hours. This was very, very tasty. Would definitely do again.

    • s1nowy on September 20, 2015

only marinated for about 20 minutes and it was delicious!

  • Sichuan pepper sirloin with broccoli & capsicum

    • Dishyrishie on May 31, 2015

Veggies are really good. Steak needs something more.

  • Barbecued steak with artichoke & herb salad

    • Dishyrishie on July 21, 2015

Make sure you have good steak. This is a good weeknight meal.

  • Italian lamb meatloaf

    • abengal on January 04, 2022

I liked this but the rest of the household didn’t, it was too bland. Also, it really does need to be browned properly, and I had pulled it out of the oven too early. It is a bit sweet too and you do have to drain it as the recipe says. Used a handful of oats instead of breadcrumbs and doubled the pine nuts. Note to self, make again because it is good but find another recipe to flavour it, spices and herbs. Use the red cast iron baking dish again NOT a loaf tin, too large for a loaf tin. Not for guests.

  • Chermoula lamb fillet with avocado & coriander salsa

    • debkellie on September 22, 2015

I made this using a lamb rack. I reduced the chilli to 1/4 tsp (my variant is labelled "extra hot"). Very tasty. Would benefit from a cucumber raita on the side.

  • Lamb biryani

    • debkellie on June 27, 2015

Next time I'll cut either the chilli or the cayenne or be faced with a cranky husband who has finally declared "no more chilli!" - This was very thermally spicy, but very nice... it's also a generous serve - would easily do 6.

    • debkellie on October 13, 2015

Did this one again with the reduced chilli/cayenne, still very tasty and no cranky husband!
