I agree with PennyG, it is much easier to index from scratch than to check the accuracy of a prior indexer. I was assigned a book (Winter Harvest) I had requested and realized partway through that it had been partially indexed. Til reading this thread I.Had.No.Idea about the ingredient shortcuts! After years of schooling and still taking exams in continuing education, I feel there should be no mistakes that need correcting by Sydney *sigh* there always are a few

I have a horrible feeling that Sydney cringes when I index a book!  I'm sure that if I was indexing all the time I would get better at it, but life doesn't allow that and I do seem to forget and make the same mistakes again.  Egg maths is much easier now though, so that solved a few issues (only those who've indexed in the past will understand that comment!!)
