I don't seem to be able to add a note anymore. Last week, it was difficult since there are SO many characters that aren't allowed, but today, nothing. No error message either.

Here is the note I was trying to add to Grace Young's Stir Fry beed and broccoli. Suggestions?

This has become the house stir fry. Just a wonderful mix of flavors that seem to work with any protein/vegetable combination. While prepping for dinner last night, it became clear that my oyster sauce was history. [Guess it needed to refrigerated!] Substituted Kecap Manis to great effect.

Any help would be appreciated.

Slight aside, it might be nice to have  the new topic button at the top level of the forum. Took me a while to find it.

Susan - sorry to hear you are having trouble with entering a Note.  It was the square brackets [ ] that caused the issue. Once I replaced them with standard brackets it entered fine - I've left it there so you can see it but I'll delete it when you add yours. 

The invalid characaters issue is something we struggle with the developers over.  There are certain characters which are used by hackers so are excluded from data entry on the site.  You will often find this issue if you type your text in Word then copy it over. Characters like " or - may not be accepted in Word format but will be OK if you replace them with the characters in Notes.
