I suspect that like myself, many EYB members like to go though their EYB book indexes and count how many recipes they have cooked from a particular book. From earlier posts, I also think that a some members have set themselves targets to cook a certain number of recipes from particular books.

I think it would be great if there was a symbol (e.g. an oven, or a different coloured star), on the same line as the star ratings, which would fill when clicked on, so that it would be very easy for each EYB member to see which recipes they have already attempted from each book on their bookshelf.

I know that you already have a massive 'To Do' list, but I would be interested to hear if other members think that they would find this feature useful or not.

I currently use a bookmark to list my cooked recipes, but I personally think that  seeing this information via each book index would be extremely useful.

I agree. I would love something like this, or a way to see both notes and ratings other users have given recipes as well as a separate view of my own ratings and notes. I would find that very useful as I do try to challenge myself to cook through as many recipes as possible through specific books. It would be nice to see this information easily without having to make tonnes of bookmarks of what I have and haven't tried.

This would be a really interesting feature--especially if we could rank the recipes by the frequency they were cooked.

Cool idea. Right now I have a bookmark called "Made" that I just tag them with.

I second all of the above. I too have a bookmark to indicate that I've made a dish.

Me too!  I have a 'Tried and Tested' bookmark - great minds think alike!

Thumbs up from me to for the idea, I would also love a feature like that!

I agree that this would be a nice and usefull feature.  I tend to forget how much I have used a cookbook, and since EYB would like us all to participate more in the note making, perhaps there could be a pop up window that asks, "wanna leave a quick note?" whenever we check a "done" recipe.

I am curious as to why the lethargy.  For me it's that I am more of a cookbook reader than "self-actualizer", but that can't be the deep dark truth about everyone on this site... can it?

That said I promise to go immediately and anotate a recipe from The Best Recipe book.  I'm off!
