Hi all! I thought it would be fun to share a list of peoples favorite cooking newsletters. A lot of great cookbook authors and chefs have e newsletters (most on substack) and many are free. Which ones do you all like? I'll start:

  1. David Lebovitz - His monthly newletter is always such a joy to recieve. It feels like I'm getting an email from my friend in Paris.

  2. La Embelequera cooks - I don't think this is a high profile cooking personality, but her monthly newsletter is great. Sometimes the essays are funny, something they make me tear up. She also provided recommendations of recipes she tried recently and loved.

  3. Andrew Janjigian - a must for anyone who in into bread baking.

  4. Nik Sharma - Need I say more? Plus new recipes each issue.

  5. Vittles - British publication that feature long form essays about food and culture. Extremely well written.

My favourite is Nicola Lamb, a pastry chef from London: https://kitchenprojects.substack.com/

Free content every week (as well as extra if you choose the paid option) and goes into detail on the science behind the pastry techniques, as well as just really interesting flavour combinations and recipes from around the world!

I second Kitchen Projects by Nicola Lamb for desserts. I also really enjoy reading Stained Page News--a newsletter focused on cookbooks!
